To make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
On Wednesday, September 23, during the PTA Council Delegate Meeting, the Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs voted to endorse Proposition A to support the Round Rock Independent School District Voter-Approved Tax Rate Election.
Proposition A is on the November 3 ballot. Early voting will begin on Monday, October 19 and will continue through Friday, October 30. Proposition A is a ballot measure that will provide critical funding for Round Rock ISD.
The Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs embraces the TX PTA mission to provide a voice for every child by advocating for the best possible public education for the students in our community. This endorsement also aligns with TX PTA’s broader legislative priorities which include supporting measures that increase funding for public education and those that work to address the challenges we are facing with teacher and staff retention across our state. By voting for Proposition A, Round Rock ISD voters will contribute to:
Advocating for Every Student to Succeed: Passing Proposition A will provide Round Rock ISD with essential funding. By addressing gaps in state funding, we will be able to maintain optimal class sizes and invest in a high quality education for every student.
Attracting and Retaining High-Quality Educators: The teachers and staff in Round Rock ISD work tirelessly serving our students each and every day. Voting for Proposition A allows the community to honor their dedication by providing much-deserved pay raises, while making sure Round Rock ISD remains a destination district for educators and support staff.
This endorsement reflects the Round Rock ISD Council of PTA’s commitment to supporting a high quality public education for every student in our district.
Early voting runs October 19th - October 30th and Election Day is November 3rd. The Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs urges all residents to vote in favor of Proposition A and to use their vote to be “A Voice for Every Child.”
